Celebrating the Retirement of Longtime Cooperative Colleague, Merle Weitz
Join us in congratulating our dear friend and longtime colleague, Merle Weitz, on the occasion of her retirement.
Merle served The Cooperative for 25 years in various leadership roles. Merle is not just remembered not for her years of service—but for the profound impact her work has had on maternal and infant health in South Jersey, across the state and beyond.
Among Merle's signature achievements during her tenure—major public health initiatives focusing on reducing the state's maternal smoking rate, community health and wellness, teen pregnancy prevention, youth development and lead poisoning prevention. Merle is also a staunch advocate for rural health initiatives, and has been a trusted mentor to her Cooperative colleagues.
While Merle has retired from full-time duties, she will continue to lend her time and talents to The Cooperative in a part-time capacity...and we couldn't be happier.
We love and celebrate Merle as she enters this next chapter!
