Three Little Birds

Since 2016, Three Little Birds has been a compassionate nest of support for more than 500 families experiencing miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal loss in the South Jersey and Philadelphia metropolitan region.

Through volunteer-led programs, in-person and virtual events, and close collaboration with families, providers, advocates and support groups, we have worked to identify and address gaps in perinatal bereavement care. Our services aim to support the varied needs of parents walking the journey of baby loss and find a nest of support immediately and long-term.

OUR MISSION

To bridge the gap for perinatal loss families, advocates and professionals by providing empathetic support and resources at the time of loss and throughout the postpartum period.

WE ARE SO SORRY YOU ARE HERE

If you are visiting our nest, it means you or someone you love has experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. We are so terribly sorry. We hope that within these pages you find comfort, connection and resources that remind you that you are not alone.

We know that after experiencing pregnancy or infant loss, the world can feel incredibly heavy. Grief shows up in different ways and at different times, and some days simply getting through the day is enough. If you’re here, please know that you are not alone. The resources below are offered to meet you wherever you are in your healing — whether you’re looking for information, connection, support or just a place to start. Take what feels helpful, leave what doesn’t and move at the pace that feels right for you.

Understanding Perinatal Loss

Perinatal loss refers to the death of a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth. This includes miscarriage (before 20 weeks gestation), stillbirth (after 20 weeks gestation) and infant loss in the first weeks or months of life. No matter when the loss occurs, the grief is real, valid and deeply felt. Families who experience perinatal loss often describe it as an unimaginable heartbreak—one that can be isolating without support and understanding.
