Tobacco-Free for a Healthy New Jersey
Tobacco-Free for a Healthy New Jersey is New Jersey’s largest collaborative effort to reduce the health consequences of tobacco use — including vaping — and the harm from secondhand smoke exposure through prevention, education and cessation.
Tobacco-Free for a Healthy New Jersey is a statewide initiative comprised of multiple collaborators including the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Tobacco Control & Prevention, Quit Centers, New Jersey Prevention Network and Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative, with funding from the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Tobacco Control & Prevention. Tobacco-Free for a Healthy New Jersey engages community members and public health advocates in all 21 counties to promote tobacco-free initiatives through 10 regional coalitions and 11 Quit Centers.

New Jersey Quitline
The New Jersey Quitline is a free statewide resource for anyone 13 and older in New Jersey ready to quit smoking or vaping. As part of the Tobacco Free for a Healthy New Jersey collaborative, New Jersey Quitline offers multilingual and confidential phone, text, chat, and web support with a trained Quit Coach available 24/7. Eligible individuals can also receive a free 2-week supply of nicotine replacement patches.
Quit Coaches focus on active listening, empathy, and evidence-based treatment information through phone, chat, text, or group video. A centralized dashboard with action step and milestone tracker is available to help users stay on top of their goals.
