'The Joy of Black Birth'–Celebrating Black Maternal Health

As part of Black Maternal Health Week observance, Family Health Initiatives collaborated with The Cooperative and Abounding Love Doula for ‘The Joy of Black Birth.’ This uplifting brunch-style gathering celebrated the joy of birth and explored our shared responsibility to ensure Black birthing people receive the compassionate, respectful care they deserve. The event featured a live episode of Positive Birth Corner with host MaryNissi, sharing powerful stories, insights and conversation.
